# SLAMchain

### **Purpose and Innovation**

SLAMchain will serve as the **commercial district for agentic commerce**, enabling AI Agents and humans to transact through data-powered, smart contract applications. 

Unlike current blockchain infrastructures limited by oracles and fragmented data solutions, SLAMchain is custom-designed to support **advanced, data-powered use cases** that mirror opportunities found in traditional markets.

Flagship applications will include trading DeFi derivatives and synthetic assets tied to authoritative benchmarks like the [CryptoSlam 500 NFT Index](https://www.cryptoslam.io/indexes/cs500) and related subsector indices. AI Agents and human traders can speculate on trends across industry benchmarks or data points, unlocking new financial opportunities.

* **Gas-Free Enriched Data Access**\
  SLAMchain allows approved data providers to feed enriched, proprietary data onto the chain without incurring gas fees. This unlocks applications that traditional oracles have struggled to deliver - enabling advanced, real-time solutions for human developers and AI Agents.
* **Decentralized Data Governance**\
  Through the [SLAMai DAO](/governance/slamai-dao.md), [.slam NFT](/tokens/.slam-nft.md) holders decide which data streams are prioritized and fed onto SLAMchain - keeping the blockchain lean, scalable, and aligned with the needs of developers and end-users.
* **Data Monetization Through Licensing**\

### Timeline

We plan for SLAMchain to launch its testnet in Q2 of 2025, followed by mainnet by the end of the year.
